Global health is operating in a fundamentally different landscape than it was just a few years ago. Artificial intelligence is transforming every aspect of health. New technologies, new sources of capital, and new actors are reshaping innovation’s potential for impact, while geopolitical shifts and unprecedented funding disruption are redefining long-standing institutions and partnerships. Cross-sector collaboration is more important — and more complex — than it has ever been. The Alliance for Innovation in Global Health (formerly the Bay Area Global Health Alliance) exists to meet that challenge. We are a global membership network of more than 110 organizations, headquartered in Silicon Valley, with a distinctive concentration of technology, private sector, and global members. This composition gives us an uncommon ability to bridge communities that rarely work together. As a trusted, neutral platform, we catalyze collaboration through strategic convenings, curated connections, and ecosystem insight — helping organizations navigate complexity and translate diverse perspectives into action. This approach reflects a broader truth about how complex problems get solved. Recent research by the Bridgespan Group confirms what the Alliance has demonstrated in practice: progress on the field's hardest challenges requires investment not only in individual organizations, but in the connective infrastructure between them. The Alliance is building that infrastructure.
