We give a fair, living wage to artisans from over 30 countries. Our goal is to benefit disadvantaged artisans, not to maximize profits. Ten Thousand Villages works with artisans who would be otherwise be unemployed or underemployed. This income helps pay for food, education, health care, or housing. Ten Thousand Villages establishes ongoing relationships with cooperatives in order to provide the artisans a dependable source of income.
