Foundation for the Global Compact

The Foundation for the Global Compact is a non profit organization launched on 19 April 2006 to help raise funds to support the work of the UN Global Compact Office and Global Compact-related activities. It is the official fundraising mechanism for the UN Global Compact Office with respect to the private sector. The Foundation is overseen by a Board of Directors comprised of 4 members.

The Foundation’s main functions are: ­- fundraising to support the work of the Global Compact Office and other activities in support of the Global Compact; ­- providing financial support to the Global Compact Office and other activities in support of the Global Compact; and - promotion and advocacy of the Global Compact and its principles.
