Chicago Cultural Alliance

The Chicago Cultural Alliance is a consortium of Chicago-area ethnic museums, cultural centers, and historical societies. Chicago is home to diverse communities, representing a broad spectrum of cultural heritage and identity that transcends geographic and political boundaries. We define cultural heritage as a legacy of tangible and intangible attributes that include monuments and objects, language, performing arts, social practices, rituals, festive events, and world knowledge passed from generation to generation.

The Alliance is the only organization of its kind in the U.S., representing Chicago-area heritage museums, cultural centers, and historical societies - our Core Members. Alliance Core Members serve 30+ diverse communities with populations ranging from 3,000 to more than one million. Nearly 60% of Core Members are anchors for underserved and immigrant populations.
