PSR/Colorado

Guided by the values and expertise of health professionals, PSR Colorado members and allies offer evidence-based education and advocacy, elevating the voices of health professionals to protect current and future generations from the health impacts of fossil fuels, the climate crisis, and exposure to radionuclides and other toxic substances. PSR Colorado advocates for alternatives to reliance on fossil fuels and nuclear energy.

Physicians for Social Responsibility Colorado is the state chapter of a national organization of health professionals and public health advocates working to protect human health from the gravest threats of our time — including climate change, environmental toxics, and nuclear weapons. Guided by the medical community's trusted voice, PSR Colorado advocates for evidence-based policies that safeguard the health of Colorado communities. PSR CO has approximately 1540 members. Approximately one-sixth are health professionals. We are governed by a board of directors composed of mainly health professionals. We work mainly at the legislative and policy-making level advocating for rules and regulations that are protective of the environment and the people, particularly those in areas impacted by climate injustice. We work in coalition with many other environmental and justice organizations.
