Help Adults in Need of Extra Assistance

The Foster grandparent and senior companion Programs, serve children or adults who have a developmental disability. As a volunteer, you must be 55 years or older and on a limited income. You assist two consumers 20 hours per week. You receive a tax-free stipend, which will not affect your social security, Medi-cal, etc. Other benefits include meal and transportation reimbursement, an annual physical, paid vacation and sick leave and accident and liability insurance while on duty. Pre-Service and monthly training sessions provided.
