PAWS for People

To lovingly provide elders, children, and folks with disabilities individualized, therapeutic visits with a loving, affectionate pet.

PAWS is a pet-assisted visitation organization that specializes in training and placing caring people and their own people-oriented pet in facilities whose folks need some very special TLC.

PAWS for People is a completely volunteer organization with approximately 145 active teams (handler & pet). We visit in over 55 facilities including hospitals, assisted living facilities, chemical dependency programs, care for the elderly, hospices, disabled adults & children, as well as physical & occupational therapy facilities.

PAWS for Reading is a program where teams (handler and pet) visit in libraries and schools allowing children to read to the animals without pressure.
