Brian Romero is a Queens community organizer and legislative staffer who is the Democratic nominee for New York State Assembly District 34. A lifelong Queens resident and son of Colombian immigrants, Romero previously served as Chief of Staff to Assemblymember Jessica González-Rojas and State Senator Kristen Gonzalez, and has worked on issues including housing, public transit, immigrant rights, and LGBTQ+ advocacy. He won the June 2026 Democratic primary and is set to succeed González-Rojas in the Assembly.
