Docip: Indigenous Peoples' Center for Documentation, Research and Information

As a service organization for Indigenous delegations, Docip organises technical secretariats at the United Nations during the principal international conferences, such as:

• the sessions of the Human Rights Council in Geneva

• the sessions of the Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues in New York
• the sessions of the Expert Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples
• the sessions of the WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization

as well as other conferences if necessary and upon request, and depending on the availability of volunteers.The technical secretariats serve as a back office for Indigenous delegations, providing them with translation and interpretation services, necessary office supplies and telecommunication services, useful contact information (international organizations, addresses, the press), etc.
