Mama2Mama Inc.

Founded in 2023, Mama2Mama is a 501c3 nonprofit headquartered in Pasadena, California and working in Los Angeles and San Diego Counties and Tijuana, Mexico to fill the void in postpartum support. Mama2Mama strives to offer solace and solidarity to mothers in the fourth trimester by providing crucial resources, knowledge-sharing, and access to essential items. Mama2Mama’s inaugural program, Mamas at the Border, focuses on supporting asylum-seeking and migrant mothers in early postpartum at a refugee shelter in Tijuana, Mexico. In partnership with international nonprofits and local women, our efforts include weekly check-ins, mental health support, needs documentation, and provision of essential postpartum supplies like baby carriers, diapers, and formula. As of summer 2024 we are engaged in a strategic planning process to facilitate the development of our expanded vision and mission, founding programs, community partnerships, and Board of Directors recruitment.
