MAPLE Microdevelopment
Acerca de
MAPLE Microdevelopment is a U.S. based non-profit organization currently serving Northern and Eastern Ugandan villages, indigenous Mapuche communities in Chile, and affordable tiny house communities in Oregon, US. We work closely with community members to co-design financial services and income generating opportunities that can be managed and sustained by communities themselves in accordance with their own cultural values, needs, connections to nature, and aspirations for self-governance. We also work closely with youth in each community to build capacities necessary of sustaining community-based development initiatives across generations. We are a group of development practitioners, university faculty, students, young social entrepreneurs, and community members from both industrialized and developing countries who work together to create strong intercultural models for community-managed, sustainable development initiatives.
