Binaytara was created to improve healthcare in resource-poor communities and improve cancer care worldwide. Binaytara focuses on reducing health disparities and promoting health equity in the United States and abroad. In the United States, Binaytara is focused on cancer education to reduce cancer care inequities. Binaytara offers continuing medical education programs to improve physician competence and performance, leading to improved patient outcomes.

In 2018, the foundation opened the Binaytara Foundation Cancer Center (BTFCC) in Janakpur, Nepal. The 25-bed cancer hospital is the first and only cancer hospital in Province 2, a state with more than six million people. Binaytara has a goal to build the first phase of a new 200 bed hospital in Janakpur to serve patients in an area of 25 million people in Nepal and the neighboring Indian state of Bihar.
