The Family Crisis Center provides free and confidential services to :
Victims of Family Violence and Sexual Assault in Northern Cameron County and all of Willacy County. Services include:
- 24 Hour Hotline
- Transportation to a safe place
- Shelter for battered women and children
- Counseling for abused women and children
- Medical and legal referrals if necessary
- Advocacy with law enforcement and the legal system
- Support groups for resident and non-resident battered women
- Therapeutic play programs for children from violent homes
- Prevention presentations for students
- Educational programs for schools and community/professional groups
- Homeless prevention assistance for victims including rent, utilities, food, clothing and limited medical assistance
