Family Crisis Center of the Rio Grande Valley

The Family Crisis Center provides free and confidential services to :

Victims of Family Violence and Sexual Assault in Northern Cameron County and all of Willacy County. Services include:

• 24 Hour Hotline
• Transportation to a safe place
• Shelter for battered women and children
• Counseling for abused women and children
• Medical and legal referrals if necessary
• Advocacy with law enforcement and the legal system
• Support groups for resident and non-resident battered women
• Therapeutic play programs for children from violent homes
• Prevention presentations for students
• Educational programs for schools and community/professional groups
• Homeless prevention assistance for victims including rent, utilities, food, clothing and limited medical assistance
