Volunteer Google for Nonprofits Administrator

The Animal Cause is seeking a volunteer with experience in Google for Nonprofits to help maximize the organization's use of Google's nonprofit resources.

This role extends beyond Google Ad Grants. The volunteer will evaluate and optimize our Google for Nonprofits account, including Google Workspace for Nonprofits, Google Ad Grants, YouTube for Nonprofits, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, Google Business Profile (where applicable), and other Google tools available to eligible nonprofit organizations.

The successful volunteer will help ensure we are taking full advantage of Google's nonprofit benefits—including the up to $10,000 per month in Google Ad Grants advertising—while helping build a strong digital foundation for long-term organizational growth.

This volunteer will help establish the digital infrastructure for a national animal welfare organization. As The Animal Cause grows, this role may expand into advising on search visibility, educational content, YouTube strategy, nonprofit technology, AI integration, and digital outreach initiatives supporting shelters, rescues, volunteers, and animal welfare partners nationwide.

This is a flexible, remote volunteer opportunity ideal for someone who enjoys helping nonprofits leverage technology to increase awareness, recruit volunteers, attract donors, and expand their mission.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Google for Nonprofits
• Experience with Google Ad Grants
• Experience managing Google Ads campaigns
• Knowledge of Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
• Experience with Google Tag Manager
• Understanding of Google Search Console
• Familiarity with Google Workspace administration
• Understanding of YouTube channel optimization
• Knowledge of nonprofit digital marketing best practices
• Ability to interpret analytics and make recommendations
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently
• Interest in animal welfare and nonprofit service

Preferred

• Google Ads Certification
• Google Analytics Certification
• Experience helping nonprofits obtain or maintain Google Ad Grants
• Experience with SEO
• Experience with landing-page optimization

Google certifications are welcomed but not required. Demonstrated experience successfully managing Google for Nonprofits accounts is equally valuable.
