About the Opportunity

Health Equity Advocates (HEA) is a student-led organization dedicated to advancing health equity and empowering students to address health disparities in their communities. Through advocacy, education, leadership, and community engagement, HEA provides students with opportunities to develop practical skills while making an impact on health equity.

We are expanding beyond our founding campus and are looking for motivated students to establish and lead HEA chapters at their colleges and high schools.

What You'll Do

As a Chapter Leader, you will:

• Establish and develop a Health Equity Advocates chapter at your college or high school.
• Recruit and engage students interested in health equity, public health, healthcare, and advocacy.
• Organize campus-based health equity initiatives, educational programs, and community projects.
• Lead chapter meetings and coordinate chapter activities.
• Work with the HEA network to implement projects aligned with our mission.
• Promote health education and awareness around health disparities and social determinants of health.
• Build partnerships with campus organizations and community organizations.
• Develop your leadership, communication, advocacy, and program-planning skills.

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for students who are:

• Passionate about health equity, healthcare, public health, or community advocacy.
• Motivated to take initiative and lead.
• Interested in creating meaningful opportunities for students on their campus.
• Comfortable communicating with peers and campus organizations.
• Reliable, organized, and willing to commit time to developing their chapter.

No specific major or prior leadership experience is required.

Commitment

This is an unpaid experiential learning and leadership opportunity. Chapter Leaders are expected to actively develop their campus chapter, participate in HEA initiatives, and remain engaged with the broader HEA network.
