Time Commitment Options:
- Flexible, project-based (5–10 hours/month, mostly weekends)
- Six month internship. Internship eligible for a one-time $500 professional development stipend through the Empowerment Fund. The stipend supports participation in a learning-centered internship and is not tied to hourly work.
Are you passionate about community, culture, and creative events that make a difference? Join us as an Event Production Assistant and help produce powerful, mission-driven gatherings that uplift diaspora communities and center creativity, advocacy, and joy.
We collaborate on immersive cultural productions including:
- The Peoples Marketplace – A decolonized market platform featuring diasporic vendors, artists, and organizers creating pathways for healing and empowerment.
As a volunteer, you’ll gain hands-on experience in event production, stage and vendor coordination, guest services, and behind-the-scenes logistics, all while building community with mission-aligned creatives and organizers.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist with event load-in/load-out, stage setup, and décor
- Support vendor and performer check-in and coordination
- Help maintain a smooth guest experience (registration, info booth, crowd flow, accessibility)
- Collaborate with production leads, DJs, artists, and partners onsite
