    • Flexible, project-based (5–10 hours/month, mostly weekends)

Are you passionate about community, culture, and creative events that make a difference? Join us as an Event Production Assistant and help produce powerful, mission-driven gatherings that uplift diaspora communities and center creativity, advocacy, and joy.

We collaborate on immersive cultural productions including:

    • The Peoples Marketplace – A decolonized market platform featuring diasporic vendors, artists, and organizers creating pathways for healing and empowerment.

As a volunteer, you’ll gain hands-on experience in event production, stage and vendor coordination, guest services, and behind-the-scenes logistics, all while building community with mission-aligned creatives and organizers.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Assist with event load-in/load-out, stage setup, and décor
    • Support vendor and performer check-in and coordination
    • Help maintain a smooth guest experience (registration, info booth, crowd flow, accessibility)
    • Collaborate with production leads, DJs, artists, and partners onsite

    Great for You If You:

    • Are a problem-solver who thrives in dynamic, creative environments
    • Love events, culture, and working with diverse communities
    • Are interested in event logistics, operations, or arts production
    • Want to gain experience for roles in events, nonprofits, communications, or production

    Bonus:

    • Letters of recommendation + resume credit available
    • Snacks + branded tote provided during events
    • You’ll be part of a growing network of artists, organizers, and creatives doing groundbreaking work around culture, capitalism, and community care
