The Emerging Markets Investors Alliance (EMIA) seeks a volunteer Secretary for the Board of Directors.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of professional experience
Individuals with a legal background will be preferred
Excellent writing skills
Ability to earn the trust and confidence of senior executives and board members by acting professionally and pro-actively and by treating sensitive matters condidentially and with discretion.

Responsibilities:

Drafting board resolutions
Drafting minutes for board and board subcommittee meetings
Overseeing, coordinating, and implementing the compilation of board presentations
Maintaining an updated list of board members
Managing the process of soliciting and vetting new board candidates
Creating an orientation package (and maybe also a presentation) for new board members.
Ensure compliance forms are collected from board members
