Description
The Emerging Markets Investors Alliance (EMIA) seeks a volunteer Secretary for the Board of Directors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of professional experience
- Individuals with a legal background will be preferred
- Excellent writing skills
- Ability to earn the trust and confidence of senior executives and board members by acting professionally and pro-actively and by treating sensitive matters condidentially and with discretion.
Responsibilities:
- Drafting board resolutions
- Drafting minutes for board and board subcommittee meetings
- Overseeing, coordinating, and implementing the compilation of board presentations
- Maintaining an updated list of board members
- Managing the process of soliciting and vetting new board candidates
- Creating an orientation package (and maybe also a presentation) for new board members.
- Ensure compliance forms are collected from board members
