Meet briefly with Spanish-speaking neighbors visiting our food pantry and update their demographic information in our database. Provide basic resource information to them.
Training to use our database is provided.
What would make you a good fit for this opportunity?
- You are 18+ years old
- You are fluent in Spanish
- You are warm and welcoming, while maintaining boundaries
- You are comfortable asking follow-up questions to learn more
- You are very comfortable interacting with people from many cultures and backgrounds, using translation tools when needed
- You are experienced using a computer - typing, searching, and navigating forms
- You are excited to learn about community resources
- You can volunteer 2-4x/mo during this shift:
- Tuesdays, 3:30-6:15pm
