As a start-up, we offer flexible roles and hours for those who are detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about fundraising for social impact. If you have strong research and writing skills and want to gain experience in nonprofit grant writing, this role is for you.
Overview:
We’re hiring a creative and experienced Instructional Designer to develop a WhatsApp-based microlearning toolkit and support the creation of session-specific learning materials for our integration program. The ideal candidate is bilingual (English/Spanish), has experience designing for social impact or education projects, and is comfortable creating engaging, accessible content for mobile-first environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design microlearning content for WhatsApp (voice notes, infographics, reflection prompts, mini-challenges).
- Build a WhatsApp Engagement Toolkit with templates, message flows, and scripts.
- Develop supporting session materials (slide decks, worksheets, reflection tools).
- Align content with adult learning principles and trauma-informed approaches.
- Create visuals using Canva, Adobe Illustrator, or similar tools.
Required Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Strong visual and mobile-first design skills.
- Proficiency in Canva, Illustrator, or similar tools.
Preferred Experience:
- Designing for WhatsApp or mobile-first learning platforms.
- Creating content for multilingual audiences.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed and refugee-centered design practices.
