We are seeking passionate, community-minded individuals to join the Board of Directors. Board Members play a vital role in shaping the vision of Thosps, guiding strategic growth, and supporting our mission through leadership, networking, and oversight.

Board Member Responsibilities

• Attend monthly or bi-monthly board meetings (virtual or in-person)
• Provide leadership, strategic guidance, and governance oversight
• Serve as an ambassador for Thosps in the community
• Assist with fundraising, networking, and donor development
• Support and strengthen organizational programs and initiatives
• Contribute professional skills and expertise in areas such as:
  • Nonprofit leadership
  • Social work / victim advocacy
  • Fundraising & grant writing
  • Finance / accounting
  • Law / legal advocacy
  • Marketing & communications
  • Community outreach

Qualifications

• Passion for serving survivors of domestic violence and families in crisis
• Willingness to commit time, skills, and resources to the organization’s success
• Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
• Prior nonprofit or board experience is a plus, but not required
