We are seeking passionate, community-minded individuals to join the Board of Directors. Board Members play a vital role in shaping the vision of Thosps, guiding strategic growth, and supporting our mission through leadership, networking, and oversight.
Board Member Responsibilities
- Attend monthly or bi-monthly board meetings (virtual or in-person)
- Provide leadership, strategic guidance, and governance oversight
- Serve as an ambassador for Thosps in the community
- Assist with fundraising, networking, and donor development
- Support and strengthen organizational programs and initiatives
- Contribute professional skills and expertise in areas such as:
- Nonprofit leadership
- Social work / victim advocacy
- Fundraising & grant writing
- Finance / accounting
- Law / legal advocacy
- Marketing & communications
- Community outreach
Qualifications
- Passion for serving survivors of domestic violence and families in crisis
- Willingness to commit time, skills, and resources to the organization’s success
- Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
- Prior nonprofit or board experience is a plus, but not required
