Volunteer furniture mover

Duties and Responsibilities:

• • In conjunction with other volunteers and People Helping People, load, secure, and unload furniture in a variety of moving vehicles, ensuring safe transit to residential sites.
• Assemble furniture on-site, including beds and tables, using hand and power tools.
  • Provide excellent customer service, including navigating furniture into homes, delivering furniture to the correct area of the home and conducting site clean-up.
  • Must be dependable and on-time for scheduled volunteer shifts.

Qualifications:

• • Friendly, approachable, and comfortable speaking with people from all backgrounds.
  • Passion for serving veterans and their families.
  • Must be able to work in a team.
  • Ability to lift heavy furniture (50+ lbs) regularly, often using dollies and with a partner.
• Experience with basic hand/power tools and basic assembly skills.
  • Reliable and able to represent Qualified Listeners in a positive, professional manner.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from various sites in Larimer and Weld Counties.
  • Must attend a volunteer orientation and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Become familiar with and follow all policies and procedures of Qualified Listeners
  • Must pass a background check.
