Community Ambassador

Envelop Community Ambassadors are liaisons to our community. They are the welcoming face of Envelop experiences, keeping our listening events running gracefully—greeting guests, supporting smooth entry and flow at the venue, and helping us keep the space clean and safe. This is a hospitality-first role that is part usher, part greeter, part extra set of eyes for someone who enjoys communicating and being the first friendly face a guest sees.

Community Ambassadors also make up our street team, helping to spread the word about our nonprofit to music lovers across the Bay Area. Through fostering relationships with other local businesses and organizations and flyering locally, they represent our values and share our mission of connecting and inspiring community through immersive listening.

Responsibilities:

Arrive 15 minutes before Doors at each event

Welcome guests as they arrive and help them find their way (box office, seating, restrooms, entrances)

Support box office flow by checking in guests, managing lines, assisting with will-call

Usher guests to seating or designated areas as needed

Keep an attentive eye on the venue's exterior and entrances, flagging anything unusual to the Venue Manager or Production Manager

Assist Venue Manager and Production Manager staff with day-of tasks to keep the space clean, organized, and running smoothly

Help maintain a calm, welcoming environment during arrival, intermission, and departure

Understand Envelop’s mission and values in order to communicate about our work to others

Assist in street team campaigns and grassroots marketing within the Bay Area

What We're Looking For:

Friendly, approachable, and comfortable engaging with strangers

Reliable and attentive. Able to stay alert and present for the full shift

Comfortable standing/walking for extended periods, both indoors and outdoors

Clear communicator, able to flag issues to staff calmly and promptly

Outgoing and enthusiastic about sharing Envelop’s mission with our listener community and beyond
