Job Title: Web Developer/Designer /Wordpress -Intern (CPT/OPT Eligible)
Department: Web Development & IT

Internship Type: Unpaid | CPT/OPT Eligible
Start Date: Rolling (Spring/Summer preferred)
Time Commitment: 12 - 20 hours/week

We support both international and native-born citizens, empowering people of all ages to lead prosperous lives through meaningful community outreach and connections.
We are currently seeking a skilled WordPress Web Developer/Designer Intern to join our Web Development & IT team to build and maintain websites that advance our organizational mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain WordPress websites using Elementor page builder
- Create responsive, user-friendly web interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve conflicts and prioritize development needs
- Perform regular website updates, content management, and file backups
- Edit and create website content while directing team members in content production
- Test and debug code to ensure compatibility across browsers, devices, and operating systems
- Analyze technical requirements and determine user needs for optimal functionality
- Stay current with latest web development practices and WordPress updates
Ideal Candidate:
- Currently a junior/senior or graduate student in Web Development, Computer Science, or related field, OR high school graduate with 3+ years professional experience
- Strong working knowledge of WordPress and Elementor site builder
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Understanding of open source resources and nonprofit integration
- Experience building complete WordPress websites preferred
- Knowledge of cybersecurity management is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Must align with WoMen of Connections Ministry's mission and vision
