Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa is a federally recognized Indian Tribe in Northern Wisconsin. The mission of the Bad River Band of Chippewa Indians is: To work toward a more progressive, financially stable government, to maintian tribal sovereignty; and enable members to progress individually, towards a more fulfilling life culturally, spiritually, and economically. The Bad River Housing Authority maintains 171 homes on the reservation and strives to move tenants and tribal members into privately owned homes.
