About Us

L. Elden Smith and Harriet Fullen Smith founded The Fullen-Smith Foundation (FSF) in 1958 in California. The FSF is a small, private family foundation ($1.2 million) led by four permanent Directors and five Directors serving three year terms. The members of our family foundation live throughout the world including in the US, India and Australia. The mission of the FSF is to support all forms of nonprofit, public and civic enterprises that benefit the community, including, for example, but not limited to, religious, charitable, social service, scientific, literary, cultural, health or educational purposes. Each year, the FSF considers grant proposals which come to the foundation solely by invitation of a director or family member.
