About Us

Our mission at Quotidian Theatre Company (QTC) is to find truth and beauty in the everyday, presenting plays in an understated, impressionistic style.

QTC provides top-notch professional-level theater--in an intimate setting and at an affordable price--to Bethesda residents, eliminating the need and cost for them to drive down to D.C. Unique about QTC is our focus on performing the complete works of master playwrights, including Anton Chekhov, Horton Foote, and Conor McPherson. At the same time, we demonstrate our range by producing the works of new, local playwrights, socially relevant plays, obscure Edwardian comedies, and even a hugely successful musical, "James Joyce's The Dead." We also aim to create a friendly neighborhood presence in the Bethesda community by getting to know our patrons personally and catering to their individual needs. Finally, we strive to provide quality theatre to those who may not otherwise be able to afford the steep prices charged downtown, by donating tickets to senior homes, U.S. veterans, and offering very modestly priced tickets to students and seniors.
