No One Should Go Hungry Here And yet thousands of people go hungry in our community every day.
For 30 years, we've been working with grocers, food companies, the USDA, and community partners to obtain food and distribute it to more than 70 partner agencies and program partners across the planning district.
As a member of the nations' largest non-governmental, domestic hunger relief organization – Feeding America – our goal is to make food accessible to hungry people in their greatest times of need.
We began our mission to end hunger in 1982 as the Fredericksburg Area Food Relief Clearinghouse. Those early years the Food Bank distributed a few thousand pounds of food. Today, the Fredericksburg Area Food Bank distributes over 3 million pounds of food and other grocery products to over 17,000 people in our community.
