About Us

The August Aichhorn Center was incorporated in 1977 to serve, study and teach about long term residential programs for very hard-to-manage adolescents. It operates two Residential Treatment Facilities, one in Manhattan (RTF-M), and one in Brooklyn (RTF-B). The RTF-B serves adolescents in custody of the juvenile justice system. It also operates a Young Adult Supported Living (YASL) program in Manhattan.
