About Us

Boomerang was established to meet the changing needs of a generation that could expect an additional thirty years beyond what was previously considered retirement. Baby Boomers are the largest, healthiest, best-educated generation in history now passing through its 40’s, 50’s and 60’s. As they impacted the culture during the 1960’s and 1970’s, this group will again change the face of the “golden years”.

Boomerang, a Chandler, Arizona community project, will address the pursuit of good health and a longing for meaningful experiences in the “Third Age” of life. The classic picture of the “golden years” centered on recreation and relaxation followed by decline and diminished activity is fading as baby boomers look forward to possibly three decades characterized by encore careers, giving back to the community and active lifestyles.

Funding for this collaborative effort is made possible through a grant from The Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust.
