About Us

The Childhood Domestic Violence Association is leading the way the world understand and treats Childhood Domestic Violence (CDV). The Association works to increase awareness of Childhood Domestic Violence (CDV) as an issue affecting hundreds of millions, empower caring adults, communities and organizations to serve as a lifeline for those children affected, and educate adults who experienced CDV as to the long-term impact so they can strive to overcome it. Over 15 million children experience domestic violence in the U.S. and many of the 40 million adults who were these children a generation or two ago still struggle with its dire and often lifelong negative impact. UNICEF calls it "one of the most pervasive human rights challenges of our time," yet there is currently <15% awareness. The Association seeks to help those impacted by building universal awareness and developing and deploying groundbreaking, practical, highly scalable tools, accessible with few barriers. We partner with leading organizations that directly touch the lives of children and adults who are growing up/grew up living with domestic violence. Our tools and resources are used to educate, train, and empower those impacted and those who work with them to help them overcome the impact and reclaim their lives.
