Teach For America is the national corps of top college graduates and professionals who commit to teach for two years in urban and rural public schools and become lifelong leaders in the effort to expand educational opportunity. Our mission is to build the movement to eliminate educational inequity by enlisting the nation's most promising future leaders in the effort.

Founded in 2003, Teach For America – Greater Philadelphia has more than 300 corps members, reaching over 25,000 students inPhiladelphiaandCamdenschools. Our regional staff members work to train and support corps members, continually strengthen relationships with local schools and districts, foster the leadership of local alumni, and continue to grow the regional funding base to ensure that Teach For America - Greater Philadelphia can have an even greater impact.
