Duke Environmental Law & Policy Clinic (Duke Law School)

About Us

The Duke Environmental Law & Policy Clinic’s mission is to train the next generation of leaders to solve environmental problems by providing access to justice in underserved communities. Operating collectively as a public interest law firm with eleven distinct practice areas and housed in its own wing of the law school, the Duke Legal Clinics provide students challenging opportunities to deepen their substantive legal knowledge, strengthen their advocacy skills, and build their professional identities. The Environmental Law & Policy Clinic (“ELPC”) is a joint program of Duke Law School and the Nicholas School of the Environment that represents non-profit clients in civil matters. The ELPC provides a range of services to its non-profit clients, including factual and legal research, litigation representation, policy research and development, and project counseling. Cases involve a wide range of matters.
