About Us

MACLA/ Movimiento de Arte y Cultura Latino Americana, the Black Eyed Peas Peapod Foundation and the Adobe Foundation to open the new Peapod Adobe Youth Voices Academy (PAYVA). PAVYA is a free arts education program in San Jose, California dedicated to mentoring the youth of Silicon Valley (from the age range 13-18) in professional multimedia production.

The mission of PAYVAM is to provide the next generation with a venue for the exploration of relevant social, personal and community issues. The highly selective year-round program focuses on a range of disciplines from professional video and music production, visual and cultural studies, interactive design, animation, photography, dance and web design. PAYVAM is a space where youths can use these technologies to cultivate a dialogue with the community and empower their own voices as a force of social change, community engagement and personal expression.
