Old School of S. Burlington

Old School of South Burlington is a nature-based preschool in the process of incorporating as a nonprofit.  The program is located at Ascension Lutheran Church with an expected opening in late August 2021. 

Learning with nature is at the center of our program as we focus on connecting every child with the natural world to build environmental literacy and compassion for our planet.  We strive to develop meaningful social relationships for children with their peers and adults, build strong minds and bodies, encourage risk-taking through self-assessment, and foster independence in each child. We view every child as an individual, developing at their own pace with support from the caring adults around them.  Old School welcomes any and all children of differing abilities and celebrates diversity in its many forms.  Nature inspires the curriculum in collaboration with children’s interests to create hands-on, immersive learning.  Our mission as a non-profit is to offer scholarships to those families with the highest needs.
