About Us

For nearly 50 years SEACC has been the foremost regional grassroots conservation organization defending one of the most beautiful places on earth – the rainforest archipelago of Southeast Alaska. This legacy has resulted in the permanent protection of millions of acres of salmon strongholds and wildlife habitat throughout the region. In 2017, we are working to shift Southeast Alaska toward sustainable resource use via tightly-run, locally-led, collaborative campaigns highlighting a positive vision of our region’s future and celebrating our unique, salmon-based way of life. We work closely with dozens of community and organizational partners, and achieve our goals through SEACC’s core programs including our Inside Passage Waters Program and Tongass Forest Program. We strive to empower our diverse local communities with resources in grassroots organizing, water quality science, legal expertise, and multimedia storytelling. Learn more at www.seacc.org.
