The We Are All Farmers Permaculture Institute focuses its mission on the Appalachian and Piedmont regions. Unique to the Appalachian-Piedmont region, We Are All Farmers is committed to making permaculture affordable and accessible. In addition to three free workshops a year for the community, we also provide affordable permaculture classes.
We actively seek to engage with other community groups and non-profits to provide permaculture training and education.
We also welcome people for tours or for farm work-stays. The organization's principal, Edward Marshall, ran one of the region's first organic farms in the 1990s-early 2000s.
We seek to help people become more responsible for their own food and to bridge urban and farm and actively work to engage the urban with the rural.
