Maryland Climate Corps Fellow

Join the Maryland Climate Corps, a Service Year Option Program! The Maryland Climate Corps will offer paid service opportunities for Marylanders to get involved protecting their community from the impacts of climate change while receiving workforce training. The Maryland Climate Corps is part of the Service Year Option and will engage young adult participants in activities that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, build green infrastructure, and improve community resilience to climate disasters. The program will prioritize environmental justice strategies for low-income communities and communities of color who often face the worst effects of climate change. 

Position requirements

To be eligible you must have graduated from a Maryland High School or GED program within the past four years (Class of 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024).

• Learn relevant professional and financial literacy skills. 

• Commit to full-time 40 hours a week employment, including paid professional development.

• Receive the support necessary to succeed in the program— professional development, job training, mentoring and other support from your organization.  

• Program begins September 11 and is 9-10 months long
