The City of San Leandro, CA is recruiting for motivated and dynamic professionals to serve as Human Services Program Coordinators. There are two full-time, benefitted vacancies available – one position will focus on Senior Services which will include providing day-to-day operational oversight of the Senior Community Center and related services coordinated through non-profits such as food access, transportation services, and educational classes and activities. The second position will organize and offer programmatic assistance to the City's grant-funded program with an emphasis on coordinating efforts with non-profits to deliver services to unsheltered members of the community. These key positions will serve as a primary contact and liaison to the public, management, and other stakeholders on related program matters and services. Other responsibilities include serving as staff liaison to relevant boards and commissions.
Chosen candidates will be effective communicators who can effortlessly cultivate successful working relationships with others including members of the public, City officials, various community groups, and staff at all levels. Ideal candidates will be big picture thinkers who excel at the management of multiple projects simultaneously through effective organization and a penchant for details. A commitment to service, demonstrated adaptability, and dedication to providing outstanding client support will be critical to the success of these positions.
Education and Experience Guidelines: Any combination equivalent to experience and education that would most likely provide the required knowledge and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would the equivalent to an associate degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business or public administration, social work, social sciences or a related field, or a field closed related to the assigned program operations and three years of increasingly responsible experience administering or supporting and evaluating human and/or community services program operations.

Salary Range: $6,074 - $7,383/monthly
