Description

The JA Americas Communications Coordinator project based will directly report to the Regional Communications & Marketing Lead and will interact with each Program Project Manager. Will be responsible for designing, implementing and report programs and initiatives communications and marketing plans, according with the regional communications strategy as well as the protection of the brand and its positioning. 

Areas of responsibility:

  • Define communication plans for regional initiatives, as well as implementing, compliance and reporting.  
  • Define and ensure proper compliance with visual identity criteria, institutional message and brand alignment and content that impact the different stakeholders. 
  • Generate regional external content as social media coverege, website notes, external newsletter, PR opportunities for positioning programs and initiatives, as well as internal report. 
  • Setup MNs materials and support: work with then to positioning initiatives and projects wisely in the local social media channels. 
  • Provide support to the education & impact and fundraising areas for ensuring the visibility of regional initiatives, guaranteeing the recognition and visibility of our regional partners 
  • Manage part of the communications budget in each initiative or project. 

Education, skills and experience:

  • Degree in Communication / Marketing / Public Relations / Jornalism. Specific postgraduate studies related to Communication of NGOs / Social Projects are a plus. 
  • Fluent in oral and written Spanish and English (Portuguese is a plus). 
  • Excellent writing and public speaking skills 
  • Ability to lead several projects simultaneously. 
  • Ability to work as part of a team. 
  • Autonomy and effective use of time. Focus on results. 
  • Entrepreneurial attitude and collaborative disposition, comfortable working in an international setting with individuals from diverse backgrounds and working styles. 
  • Previous experience (2 years) in creating institutional communication strategies and managing communication 360 campaigns. 
  • Experience in content production (editorial, graphic, audiovisual, digital) and graphic design capability.  
  • Management of website administration profiles, social networks, e-mail marketing and performance analytics. 

Location: Latin America and the Caribbean. Remote working.

Level of Language Proficiency
