Introduction:

ROMP is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join our Human Resources team. This role will be instrumental in developing and formalizing HR policies, SOPs, and procedures to ensure alignment and compliance across our operations in the United States, Ecuador, and Guatemala. The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of HR functions, cross-cultural regulatory compliance, and exceptional writing skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures across multiple regions, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and international best practices.
  • Collaborate with HR managers and legal advisors to draft and revise SOPs, ensuring they are clear, compliant, and effectively communicated to all employees.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labor laws and statutory requirements in the United States, Ecuador, and Guatemala to ensure all HR policies and procedures are compliant.
  • Assist in the translation and localization of HR documents to meet the linguistic and cultural needs of employees in different regions.
  • Coordinate with different department heads to ensure HR policies and procedures are aligned with organizational goals and operational requirements.
  • Support the HR department in the rollout of new policies and procedures, including preparing training materials and conducting sessions as needed.
  • Manage documentation and archives related to HR policies and procedures efficiently.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR department as required, including handling confidential documents and communications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in Human Resources, with a focus on HR policy development.
  • Strong understanding of labor laws in the United States, Ecuador, and Guatemala.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of organization and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Effective team player with the ability to work independently as well.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in an international company with multicultural environments.
  • Certification in Human Resources (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP).
