    Position Summary

    The Manager, Project is a key role responsible for the successful planning, execution, and completion of projects within the organization's portfolio. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet or exceed quality standards. The Manager, Project coordinates resources, manages risks and issues, communicates effectively with stakeholders, and ensures alignment with both portfolio strategy and organizational goals. This position is crucial not only for the successful delivery of projects but also for capturing learnings and outcomes to inform future initiatives.

    The ideal candidate will possess competencies in project planning and execution, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication and engagement. This role reports directly to the Head of Transformation and includes a travel commitment of up to 20%, locally, statewide, or nationally.

    Essential Duties

    PMO

    • Plan, execute, and close projects in collaboration with the Project Owner, adhering to predetermined timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
    • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure smooth and effective project execution.
    • Proactively manage project risks and issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary to mitigate impact.
    • Communicate project status, progress, and any changes to all relevant stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
    • Ensure each project aligns with the broader portfolio strategy and contributes to the organization's strategic objectives.
    • Document project learnings and outcomes to enrich organizational knowledge and support continuous improvement.
    • ​​Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Design & Delivery

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and refine initiatives within each portfolio, bringing role-specific insights to enhance service effectiveness and reach.
    • Participate in the implementation and contribute to the continuous improvement of portfolio projects and strategies, applying specialized skills and knowledge and offering feedback and suggestions based on role-specific observations and expertise.
    • Support the measurement and evaluation of portfolio outcomes, assisting in the collection and analysis of data to inform strategy and decision-making.

    Qualifications, Capabilities & Experience

    • Extensive experience in project management, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within scope, and budget, while meeting or exceeding quality standards. Skills can be showcased through a combination of education, full-time, part-time, internship, and/or freelance positions, reflecting a comprehensive and adaptable skill set.
    • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, capable of motivating and guiding teams to success.
    • Proficiency in using project management software and tools, with knowledge of various project management methodologies.
    • Excellent internal and external stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining stakeholder satisfaction.
    • Years of experience can be applied through a combination of education and full-time, part-time, internship, and/or freelance positions.

    Physical Demands & Work Environment

    • Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may vary from time to time.

    Remote Work Requirements

    • Quiet, distraction-free workspace.
    • Reliable high-speed internet (min. 10Mbps upload / 50Mbps download; preferred 25 Mbps upload / 100 Mbps download).
