Description

New Mexico Voices for Children, the state’s leading research-based advocacy organization for New Mexico’s children and families, is seeking a Research and Policy Analyst with a focus in health. Under the supervision of the Deputy Policy Director (DPD), the Policy Analyst serves as a researcher and analyst in areas of public health, safety, and health care coverage and in other policy areas determined by New Mexico Voices for Children’s (NM Voices) leadership, priority policy agenda, and grant requirements. The policy analyst conducts research, analysis, outreach, writing, and advocacy on public health and other policies that improve the status of New Mexico’s children and families. This role will serve as a key point person for NM Voices across the state with stakeholders, coalitions, funders and policymakers related to health and health policy. This position will require travel. The majority of NM Voices team is based in Albuquerque. However, candidates based across New Mexico are encouraged to apply. Frequent travel to Albuquerque for internal and external meetings will be required. Occasional travel to Santa Fe for meetings throughout the year, with more frequent travel to Santa Fe during the legislative and interim sessions.
