As the nation's first and NYC's largest youth mentoring organization, Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City (BBBS of NYC) connects generations of New Yorkers by matching a caring adult mentor, a Big, with a New York City youth, a Little. Through evidence based, goal-centered, professionally supported programming, BBBS of NYC provides consistent support and guidance to matches that result in longer, stronger match relationships that advance the social-emotional development and academic progress of young people across the five boroughs.
JOB SUMMARY:
BBBS of NYC’s Workplace Mentoring Group (WMG) delivers site-based, after-school mentorship programs for high school age youth and corporate volunteers. BBBS of NYC matches top NYC corporations with local NYC high schools and provides each partnership with bi-weekly mentorship programs. These programs occur on-site at each company and are facilitated by a BBBS of NYC Program Manager (PM) two times per month. The Program Manager (PM) is responsible for the full management and facilitation of six programmatic partnerships.
The Program Manager is expected to use case management and group facilitation skills to cultivate lasting relationships between our corporate volunteers (Bigs) and youth participants (Littles), acting as a representative of the BBBS of NYC organization in supporting our corporate and school-based partnerships.
