Manager of Individual Giving
Supervisor: Chief Advancement Officer
Salary Range: $50,000-$60,000
Overview:
Join our dynamic and enthusiastic Advancement team at The Mount as the Manager of Individual Giving! This full-time, exempt position is a key player in our Development Department. As a member of the team driving fundraising efforts, you’ll focus on individual giving, manage the annual fund, oversee individual memberships, cultivate donor relationships, and handle database management.
Responsibilities:
Annual Fund
• Working with the Chief Advancement Officer and Director of Development, create, activate, and evaluate a well-coordinated annual giving program designated to cultivate and solicit support from diverse prospects and donors
• In collaboration with the Director of Development and Director of Communications, plan creative seasonal annual fund appeals, including drafting letters, compiling mailing lists, coordinating mailings, and acknowledging gifts
• Help create and lead effort to identify and implement strategies to segment annual fund communications
• Help create and lead the planning and execution of giving levels strategies for optimum annual fund giving circles
Individual Membership
• Oversee and manage the individual membership programs, including membership solicitation, cultivation, and stewardship
• Initiate strategies to promote new members and renewals
• With support from the Development Assistant, produce membership materials and coordinate creative member communications
• Help plan and implement member events
• Coordinate with the Communications Director to plan, create, and schedule membership eBlasts
Database Management
• Supervise Development Assistant in maintenance of Raiser’s Edge donor database including gift entry, reporting, and generating mailing lists
• Oversee the data hygiene project
• Maximize the database’s generative functions
• Coordinate with the Director of Finance on monthly reconciliation and reporting of contributed income
• Produce regular reports as needed by Executive Director, Chief Advancement Officer, and Board
Events
• Assist the Director of Development with the coordination of, and attend all, donor, cultivation, and fundraising events
• Work with Development Assistant to produce mailing lists, send invitations, and monitor responses
• Oversee the creation and distribution of guest lists and prospect and donor bio forms prior to events and visits
• With the Executive Director, Chief Advancement Officer, and Director of Development, create communications plans for prospect and donor stewardship strategies prior to and following events and visits
Major Gifts
• Assist Chief Advancement Officer, Director of Development, and Major Gift Officer in implementing the Moves Management portfolio system
• Help maintain up-to-date records on The Mount’s major gift prospect and donor pool, including bio forms, contacts reports, gift pledges, gift acknowledgement, cultivation, and stewardship
• Attend programs and special events on regular basis to help senior leadership and Board members engage and cultivate donors
Other Responsibilities
• Draft all acknowledgment letters for Executive Director and Chief Advancement Officer and ensure timely mailing
• Provide Executive Director and Chief Advancement Officer with reports and other special requests as needed
• With support from the Development Assistant, maintain Board Development Committee minutes and calendar
• With support from the Development Assistant, help prepare development documents for Board meetings and be present to take meeting notes
Qualifications and Skills:
• Proficiency with donor database software – Blackbaud preferred
• Proficiency in using various desktop and mobile software programs, including Word, Excel, Office 365, and Mailchimp, with the ability to learn new software systems.
• Strong project management skills with attention to detail
• Team player, self-starter, interested in personal and professional growth
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building and sustaining strong relationships with members, donors, and stakeholders
• Unflappable, focused, able to work in a fast-paced environment while effectively managing day-to-day responsibilities and fulfilling requirements of fundraising role
• Able to give and receive constructive feedback
Must be available on selected evenings, weekends, and holidays to attend programs and special events.

This is a full-time position with competitive salary and benefits. The Mount is dedicated to equal employment opportunities for all applicants and employees.
