About ACU: The Association of Clinicians for the

Underserved (ACU) is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the

health and well-being of underserved communities and populations. We work to

support clinicians, health centers, and other organizations that provide care

to those who face barriers to accessing healthcare services. We are a

fast-growing organization filled with mission-driven people committed to serving

our purpose. We’re looking for someone equally committed to that cause who can

help support ACU’s Internal HR needs.



Job Description: The Association of Clinicians for

the Underserved (ACU) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior HR

Professional to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in

developing and implementing human resources strategies and initiatives that

support our mission and contribute to the success of our organization, as well

as carrying out day to day HR activities. 

The ideal HR candidate will have combined expertise in HR practices with

strong interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, and a commitment to fostering

a positive and inclusive work environment. They should also be passionate about

supporting employees and contributing to the overall success of the

organization.



 



Responsibilities:




  1. Strategic
  2. HR Planning: Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives
  3. aligned with the organization's overall mission, goals, and values.

  4. Talent
  5. Acquisition and Management: Lead recruitment efforts to attract and
  6. retain top talent, including developing job descriptions, conducting
  7. interviews, and overseeing the onboarding process. Implement effective
  8. strategies for talent retention and professional development.

  9. Employee
  10. Relations: Serve as a trusted resource for employees, providing
  11. guidance and support on HR-related issues and fostering a positive and
  12. inclusive work environment. Address employee concerns and grievances in a
  13. timely and effective manner.

  14. Performance
  15. Management: Oversee performance management processes, including goal
  16. setting, performance evaluations, and professional development planning.
  17. Provide coaching and support to managers and employees to enhance
  18. performance and promote growth.

  19. Compliance
  20. and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant employment
  21. laws and regulations. Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures and
  22. provide guidance to management and staff on legal and regulatory
  23. requirements.

  24. HR
  25. Administration: Oversee HR administration tasks, including payroll
  26. processing, benefits administration, and record-keeping. Implement and maintain
  27. systems to streamline processes and ensure data accuracy.

  28. Diversity,
  29. Equity, and Inclusion: Lead efforts to promote diversity, equity, and
  30. inclusion within the organization, including developing and implementing
  31. initiatives to foster a diverse and inclusive workplace culture.

  32. Collaboration
  33. and Communication: Collaborate with leadership and staff across the
  34. organization to support HR needs and initiatives. Communicate effectively
  35. with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment and transparency.



Qualifications:




  • Bachelor's
  • degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; May
  • be substituted with work experience

  • 5+
  • years of progressive experience in human resources, with a focus on
  • strategic HR planning and talent management.

  • Experience
  • working in the non-profit sector preferable

  • Strong
  • knowledge of employment laws and regulations, with the ability to ensure
  • compliance and mitigate risks.

  • Excellent
  • communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust
  • and rapport with employees at all levels.

  • Proven
  • ability to think strategically and creatively to solve complex HR issues
  • and drive organizational success.

  • SHRM-CP
  • or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
