Responsibilities for SOAA
Be available in office to perform the following duties:
- Perform patient intake processes and ensure all patient notes in portal are up to date
- Manage therapist schedules, changes and days off
- Manage desk coverage and admin staff duties
- Collect patient payments prior to services and follow up post service, if needed
- Process patient vault payments, update Aging reports and patient balance statements
- Receive, direct phone calls, and schedule appointments
- Review delinquent statements and communicate with patients about their accounts
- Management of office procedures and policies, track credential process for therapist w/insurance
- Bookkeeping/Bill Paying, Print/Mail/Review paper claims and adding notes
- Help resolve basic computer telehealth access issues
Provide back up for the following:
- Handle communications with insurers re: patient coverage, DOS payment resolution managing authorizations and submit electronic claims
- Compile requested info for entities and track insurance changes
- Track rejections report to resolve insurance issues
- Preparing bi-weekly reports for payroll
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications for SOAA
- Technically savvy, high proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite
- Strong leadership skills and emotional intelligence
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient skills in QuickBooks or another bookkeeping software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and staff members in a courteous and friendly manner at all times
- Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
- Firm grasp on medical practices, administrative processes, and organizational policies
- Knowledge of patient care
- Must be able to maintain patient confidentiality at all times
- Bachelor Degree or 5 years of professional experience, working in similar work environment as a degree equivalent
